WHITE HOUSE 2005

The Master's Touch Chorale was invited for the second time in two years to sing at the White House on December 20, 2004. On the way to the White House on December 19, 2004, we stopped at Hephzibah Baptist Church, in Coatesville, PA.  We arrived just in time to sing at 7:00PM.  After the concert, we were served a great dinner and then traveled to the Hotel Washington, one block from the White House.  After a short rest, we prepared for the White House by doing our warm-up in the hotel lobby on the morning of December 20th.

After a cold and windy walk, we arrived at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and were greeted by the volunteers who helped us feel "at home".   Our concert for the open house for invited military families began at 12:30PM.  We sang at the bottom of the Grand Staircase that leads to the presidential living quarters.  Our visit ended with a tour of the White House given by our volunteer.

We then returned to Pennsylvania and arrived at the United Brethren In Christ Church in Chambersburg, PA where we sang our last concert of our tour. We were then treated with another wonderful meal.  Even though our bus ride home was long and late, the thoughts of our tour made the trip a true blessing.
